The Immersion
This 40 Hr CPD yoga teacher training begins with an embodiment of the practice.
Somatic movements as a process of undoing tension in the body, Yin yoga for the cultivation of stillness and mindful meditation, Restorative yoga for total physical release and finally Nidra, the resting consciousness awareness for long-lasting benefits.
You are very welcome to attend this event on its own or maybe as a taster for the full training/CPD, which includes 16 hours of online study over 3 months and a follow-up 12-hour module in November 2025.

Rest is not a reward for work, as yoga teachers we know that the rest is the work, we see the effects of stress every time we give a class.
In this training you'll learn how to hold the calm space required to reach relaxation, providing a guide for yourself and your students & clients to access the healing benefits of deep rest.
Open to yoga and movement teachers who want to offer classes in Yin, Restorative & Yoga Nidra and any yoga students wishing to explore the more gentle aspects of yoga.
Held at the beautiful, custom-built yoga centre Be Yoga Sussex which is in the town of Hayward's Heath 30 minutes south of Clapham Junction & London Bridge.

Bryony has been training yoga teachers on 200-hour YTTs since 2011 and has worked in yoga therapy since 2017 Bryony has also trained as an integral yoga psychotherapist in 2023 with the Minded Institute. Be Yoga Sussex studio founder and director Bryony has created the perfect training space with a comfortable lounge, two fully equipped studios and all the props for the most relaxing experience.

Module One

The total cost of the CPD you sign up for is £495, which includes the Online recorded practices, the sequences you'll be learning, and the course materials.
Module One is an introduction to SYRN and an embodied practice, you’ll experience the way these styles of yoga or processes of bodywork seamlessly flow together inviting deep and nourishing rest.
For a more complete training in SYRN, the other two modules include more detailed work, teaching practice and some assessments.
Module one has two parts. We’ll begin on Friday afternoon with an opening circle followed by an extended practice including somatic movement, Yin yoga and meditation, Restorative Yoga, and yoga Nidra. We’ll close the evening with some analysis of the sequencing and some reflections on the process.
Saturday we will go more deeply into the science of rest, we’ll explore the fundamental principles of SYRN including the complex relationship between the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system.
Module Two
16 hours of Online study including 5 recorded classes and some written reflective work.
You’ll be invited to participate in online classes live each Wednesday & by accessing recordings which will be sent to you each week, these mat-based classes taught by Bryony are all based on the guiding principles of SYRN.
Online sessions will be on Tuesday evenings on the following dates: October 7th & October 21st 7.15 - 9.15 pm via Zoom.
As part of the CPD, you will need to develop a regular SYRN practice journal of your progress and complete a reflective piece of between 500 - 1000 words on your experience of 5 of these sessions over the 3 months of the course.
During this time, you will also be developing your ability to sequence using principles of SYRN; you’ll be given the SYRN sequence formula to use to design your own luxury restorative yoga classes. A tested formula developed over the last 15 years by Bryony SYRN is the guaranteed pathway to the most nourishing and deeply restorative rest.
This unique training brings together the latest research in well-being and blends the ancient wisdom of yoga asana, pranayama and meditation.
Module Three
Friday, November 14th 3 - 9 pm
Saturday, November 15th 11 am - 5 pm
The final Module includes a short written assessment on the science of rest and a practical assessment in small groups in the complete offering of SYRN, you’ll have the opportunity to try out the sequencing you’ve designed and give and receive feedback and support from the group.






Meet the Team
Monet Goode
Founder
Lead trainer Bryony designed this course and will be leading the training, Silas will be assisting and providing refreshments. Silas has been teaching yoga since 2019, he went on to train in Restorative yoga and Nidra in 2020 with the brilliant Helen Moss.
